All referrals are passed to the Council’s Corporate Anti Fraud Team where they checked against our computer systems and if necessary the referral can be opened as new case if fraudulent activity is suspected.
All information provided will be treated in the strictest of confidence and is subject to the Data Protection Act 1998. The information will be used for the prevention and detection of crime and may be shared with other bodies where applicable (which may include the Police, the Department for Work and Pensions and other departments within the council).
