Parking changes due to the coronavirus

On-street parking enforcement has now recommenced across the borough. Charges have now resumed in our council car parks.

Coronavirus parking pass update

In line with the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown, Surrey are withdrawing the coronavirus parking pass from 21 June 2021, and existing passes will no longer be valid. This is in line with guidance issued by the Local Government Association and British Parking Association and created in consultation with the Department for the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Applications for new coronavirus parking passes will not be accepted from 1 June and anyone using one in their car from 21 June may receive a penalty charge notice.

We would like to remind motorists that provisions exist for carers and NHS/medical staff to apply for permits to park within on-street resident permit parking schemes. Please refer to our website for details and to apply.

We enforce on behalf of SCC

We are not responsible for repainting lines or signs. Decisions on where to implement new residents schemes or road markings are made by Surrey County Council.
