We operate a 'banding' system to prioritise housing need. Applicants are placed in one of five bands (A-D or H), depending on their circumstances. Within each band, applications will be listed in date order from when the original application was made, providing all additional requested information has been received. The ‘oldest’ application will be first on the list, and the most recent application will be last.
Bands receive a share of the available vacant properties. We operate a Housing Allocations Lettings Plan (HomeChoice) which sets out the percentage of properties that will be offered to the bands by applicant type.
