Vehicle licence requirements
A full explanation as to the type of vehicle, specification, and test requirements for a licensed vehicle can be found in the following Council policy documents.
Note that the age of a vehicle when licensed for the first time must be less than 7 years from the date of first registration.
The Council will inspect all vehicles by appointment to ensure compliance with the standards at first issue. Additional interim inspections will also be required, the frequency of which will depend on the age of the vehicle.
