3. Winter Windows competition - bringing light and art to Westvale Park

We’re inviting every home on Westvale Park to take part in our first Winter Windows competition - a celebration of creativity, community spirit and festive flair. Plus, you could win a £50 shopping voucher!

About the competition

Decorate one or more of your front-facing windows with a winter-themed display to show what winter means to you - your window becomes your canvas. It can be:

  • religious, seasonal, whimsical, or artistic
  • festive lights, paper cut-outs, painted scenes, shadow boxes, or stained-glass effects.
  • snowy landscapes, glowing candles, winter wildlife, or cheerful characters,

Any suitable materials are fine to use - just make sure they’re safe, non-permanent and won’t damage your windows or sills.

Window size guidelines

  • Displays must be within one window (maximum size 1.5 metres x 1.5 metres) or confined to a single-pane area if you have larger windows.
  • If you have small windows, you can decorate multiple panes as a single display — the focus is on artistry not size.

Competition rules

We welcome a wide range of displays, but please:

  • keep it family-friendly and respectful of all cultures
  • avoid flashing lights that may disturb neighbours
  • no political or controversial content
  • use safe, non-permanent materials that won’t damage windows or sills.
