2. How to apply
To apply for the Business employment, growth and skills grant, a business must complete the:
Business employment, skills and growth grant application form
The application form must be accompanied by:
- A business plan including details of growth over the last year
- A three-year financial forecast
- Information on the legal structure of the business
- A recent bank statement, no older than three-months of the account the grant will be paid into
- If you are requesting funding towards recruitment costs, please provide the job description and details of when you hope to recruit
- If you are requesting funding for training, please provide details of the course
- If you are requesting funding for new premises, please provide details of the rental/lease details.

Grant deadline
Deadline for applications is Friday 28 February 2025. Funds will be awarded on a first come first served basis and we may have to close applications before the end date if the funding is exhausted.
What happens next?
Applications that meet the eligibility criteria will be invited for a short interview. The interviews are a way for us to find out more about your business and to talk through your growth, business plan, financials, and goals. We offer interview dates once a month. A credit and fraud check will need to be performed before a final decision can be made.
Once the award has been granted, you will be asked to provide proof of spend on agreed activity within three months of receipt.
Payment of the grant will be made by BACS payment.
