Local government in Surrey is changing

Local government in Surrey is changing. From 1 April 2027, Surrey County Council and the district and borough councils, will be replaced by two new unitary councils: East Surrey Council and West Surrey Council. All housing and homelessness services will continue as normal during and after this change. This includes housing options, the housing register and allocations; tenancy management; private rented sector schemes and homelessness services

While the council name and brand will change, your home and the services you receive will not be affected. You do not need to take any action.
