The Harlequin Theatre & Cinema

The Harlequin Theatre & Cinema is inaccessible, following the discovery of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) in September 2023.

We understand this is disappointing for many people.

Engagement events: we want your views

We are holding five drop-in engagement events to better understand the immediate and future needs of individuals and communities relating to arts, cultural space and activities.

We’d welcome the thoughts of everyone who lives in, works in or visits the borough.

Sessions will be drop-in, informal and provide the opportunity to share your views.

Online survey: we want your views

We want to hear from anyone who lives in, works in or visits the borough about what they would like to see in terms of arts and cultural provision while The Harlequin Theatre is unable to be used, and in the future. Your feedback will help us to understand community aspirations which will be used inform the development of a business case on options for interim and future arts and cultural provision.

This survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and your responses will be anonymous.

The survey will close at 9am on Monday 14 October.

Paper survey

Hard copies of the survey will be available to be picked up from the Town Hall reception, Reigate; our three community centres in Banstead, Horley, and Woodhatch; our leisure centres in Horley, Redhill and Tadworth; Merstham Hub; and SCC libraries across the borough in Banstead, Horley, Reigate, Redhill and Tattenhams from 1 October. Once complete, hard copy surveys can be returned by hand to where you picked it up from, or posted back (by the 14 October deadline) to: Arts and Culture Engagement, Town Hall, Castlefield Road, Reigate RH2 0SH.

We will publish the findings from the engagement survey and events later in October, once we’ve had time to collate and analyse the results.
