Our interactive online information service, 'Where I live', has been revamped to make it easier to find out about things like your bin collection day and council tax charges

Simply put your postcode or address into the Where I live search on our homepage and it will use maps and other data to provide a wealth of information about your local area.

New features

As well as making existing information clearer, like your councillors' contact details and recycling collection days, the improved service means you can find out even more information than before, including:

  • tree preservation orders
  • nearby planning applications
  • your council tax balance
  • facilities and services, like leisure centres and schools

How it works

Where I live can be tailored to a property by typing in a postcode or any part of an address and your searches customised.

There are two main features within the new service - My house and My maps.

  • My house: find out about your bin collection day, ward councillor, council tax, planning, tree preservation orders, and other information about your property, with links to other pages.

  • My maps: view local features on a map of Reigate & Banstead. Toggle between different basemaps to see the district in different ways. Switch on themed map layers to reveal features on the map, with links on map symbols to show more information.

To keep the information current, Where I Live is regularly updated with information from our databases and some external data feeds.
