You do not have to vote in person at the polling station or be in the area on polling day. It is possible to vote by post or to nominate someone to vote on your behalf. You can find out more about postal and proxy voting on the website of the electorol commission: How do I vote?

For the election on 5 May 2022, the deadlines to apply for a postal or proxy vote are:

  • Postal vote: apply by 5pm on Tuesday 19 April 2022. 
  • Proxy vote: apply by 5pm on Tuesday 26 April 2022.

Completed and signed forms can be scanned or photographed and sent by email as a clear one page attachment to:

Please note that an electronic signature is not acceptable as your signature is an important part of the verification process during the postal vote count in an election.
