The catering kiosk in the pavilion at Merstham Recreation Ground is due to open in the coming weeks after being let to Creamy & Bites, who run the Priory Park pavilion café.

First, the new operator will be carrying out some works to fit-out the kiosk, starting week commencing 5 May, with a view to opening later in early June.

Creamy & Bites is a family run catering business that prides itself on their range of freshly made products and reliable service and has been operating in the catering market for over 15 years.

A great addition

Lucinda Wilcox, Deputy Chief Executive of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, said: “We are pleased to welcome Creamy & Bites to Merstham Rec and think they’re plans for the kiosk will prove them to be a great addition to the local community. Being an independent, family-run business with a community focussed ethos was an important factor in selecting them as our new tenants, alongside their proven track record with operating the popular café in Priory Park pavilion. We wish them every success with their new venture.”

Ches Watroba, proprietor of Creamy and Bites said of their plans: “We’re really excited to be bringing our cafe offer to Merstham Rec. Our plans are to create a welcoming space for visitors to enjoy quality coffee, artisan ice cream, cakes, snacks and light bites, with a focus on friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. We are aiming to start fit out works in the coming days and, subject to progress, hope to open at the beginning of June. We look forward to meeting our new customers.”

Creamy & Bites anticipates opening the kiosk from 8.30am until sunset, depending on seasonality, footfall and park requirements.

The exact opening date will be confirmed once fit out is in progress. For updates follow @creamyandbites on InstagramFacebook or TikTok.
