The P&G Surrey Youth Games programme from Active Surrey offers children aged 7-16 free coaching in 14 different sports at local venues.

It offers young people the chance to compete, representing Reigate & Banstead, during the two day P&G Surrey Youth Games 2016 in Guildford in the summer.

The P&G Surrey Youth Games is a sports competition where boroughs and districts from across Surrey enter teams into different sporting events. One of the aims of the youth games is to encourage young people to develop their sports skills. Cat Gibson, Reigate & Banstead Borough Council’s Leisure Development Officer, said “The free coaching could start a life-long love of a sport and give you a chance to meet new people and make new friends.”

Free coaching is offered in sports such as cricket, hockey, football, badminton, table tennis and more with all sessions being led by fully qualified coaches and taking place after school or at the weekend.

The games themselves take place in Guildford on the 18 and 19 June but the free coaching sessions for participant’s starts in April. Coaching is led by fully qualified coaches and is held after school or at weekends from April to June. To be eligible children must live or go to school in the borough of Reigate & Banstead and be below county standard for the sport they wish to take part in.
