Memorial Park pavilion café in Redhill will reopen in July, following a re-letting process and redecoration, welcoming local, family-run venture, Florrie’s.
About Florrie's
Visitors to the park will notice work happening onsite over the next few weeks as the new tenants prepare to open.
Florrie’s will offer a range of freshly prepared sandwiches, sourdough toasties and salads, as well as pastries, cakes, ice-cream, smoothies and more. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available. Their barista-made coffee will use locally roasted coffee beans. They will also have dog-friendly treats too!
Florrie’s will be run by Redhill couple Guy Hassell and Kate Chisnall. Locals may recognise Guy, who is an experienced barista and has previously managed cafes in Reigate. Kate, from Redhill, has a background in marketing and organising events for retail and leisure spaces.
Community focus
Guy said: “We are really excited to be taking on The Pavilion cafe in Memorial Park, which we have named after our daughter, Florrie! We’ll be serving quality food and drink, including breakfast, lunch and sweet treats. As a Redhill family, we want to make a positive impact in the community and serve our local park. We can’t wait to get the doors open soon and meet our customers.”
Kate added “Community will be at the heart of what we do, and we have plans to run events and workshops in the future too.”
Mari Roberts-Wood, Managing Director, said: “We’re pleased to be welcoming Florrie’s to Memorial Park. It promises to be a great addition to the local community. Being an independent, local, family-run business with a community focussed ethos was an important factor in selecting them as our new tenants for The Pavilion café. I’d like to wish Guy and Kate every success with their new venture.”
Over the coming days, Florrie’s will be busy moving into The Pavilion and adding some finishing touches, including their branding.
We will share further details of the opening date, once confirmed.
