Cllr Kanika Sachdeva, Executive Member for Leisure and Culture, said: “The Reigate & Banstead Sports Awards recognise the success of people, teams, clubs and coaches who excel or empower and motivate others to enjoy different sporting activities. They also acknowledge the vital role that sport can play in helping people of all ages keep mentally and physically fit.
"I encourage residents to nominate those who made an invaluable or inspirational contribution to local sport in 2021 – and I wish everyone nominated the best of luck!”
All nominations will be considered and short-listed by an independent panel of judges. Successful nominees will be informed and invited to a special awards evening on 21 February.
After hosting an online ceremony in 2021, we plan to hold this year’s awards ceremony in person at the Harlequin Theatre.
