The timetable below relates to the preparation of a new local plan for Reigate & Banstead Borough Council under the plan-making system introduced by the Levelling-up and Regeneration Act 2023 and the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026.
The government has published new guidance for local authorities to create, publish and maintain local plan timetables which replaces the previous Local Development Scheme (LDS).
The new Reigate & Banstead Borough Local Plan 2044 will cover the whole of the administrative area of Reigate & Banstead.

| March 2028 - May 2028 | Public consultation – consult on the proposed Local Plan policies, site allocations, designations, policy map and SEA |

| December 2028 | Submit Local Plan for examination |
