Arts Takeover

The first Arts Takeover burst onto the Redhill creative scene in October 2023 as part of our long-term strategy to enhance people's quality of life by boosting physical and mental wellbeing.

The week-long festival of the arts aims to provide low cost or free performances and opportunities for people to be creative and try something new. 

Arts Takeover: past highlights

Arts Takeover 2025 was bigger and better than ever. The celebration of art, comedy, drama, fashion, music, and more, across more than 10 venues in and around Redhill in October. You can see the highlights in this short film below (or visit YouTube):

This special edition of Borough Scene had the full listings - which included Redhill's first-ever recycled fashion show, a music stage curated by Hive Studios and a Battle of the Bands with Redstart. The community art exhibition was produced in collaboration with the Lucy Rayner Foundation.

A huge thank you to all the artists, organisations and venues who took part - and of course everyone who came to join in and enjoy being creative!
