We are carrying out an informal consultation before submitting the applications. We welcome your comments on the proposals.
Proposed applications:
- the deregistration and exchange of common land under section 16 of the Commons Act 2006 (e.g. remove small areas of common land next to the highway and replace them with new common land elsewhere)
and
- consent to carry out restricted works on common land under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 (e.g carry out temporary works on parts of Earlswood Common to support the junction improvements. These areas will stay as common land throughout and will be restored after the works.)

All feedback will be reviewed before a decision is made on whether to submit the applications. If the applications go ahead, a formal consultation will follow, run by the Planning Inspectorate.
