5. Modernising Horley Community Centre
Our aim is for Horley Community Centre, located in Horley Town Centre, to be a vibrant place for everyone. We are looking at options for how the centre could be refurbished and refreshed to support this ambition.
Part of the works, such as replacing the old and tired heating and cooling systems and windows, will make the building more energy efficient.
Further modernisation works could:
- create spaces that increase the nature and range of community activities that can happen simultaneously in the building, this could mean moving walls or installing moveable partitions
- reconfigure the entrance and reception area to make the centre more welcoming
- improve the food area design
