Help available to our employees
If you need help with home life, work life, mind, and body, legal or money advice - the options below are available to you as an Reigate & Banstead Borough Council employee.
Our staff wellbeing platform ‘Ele’ has been replaced by the Wellbeing Gateway, a wellbeing platform which can be tailored to your needs, focusing on the areas you’ve said matter most to you.
Watch this short demo (YouTube.com) to familiarise yourself with Wellbeing Gateway.
It’s available as on your laptop or via an app, which you can download to your smartphone using instructions on the Wellbeing Gateway.
- Wellbeing Pulse - a quick weekly wellbeing check-in that takes less than a minute to complete. You rate how you’re feeling and each time you check in, your results are saved to your profile so you can track your wellbeing over time. Support is then tailored to your needs, focusing on the areas you’ve said matter most to you.
- Wellbeing Check Tool - a short survey which helps you rate your wellbeing across five key areas of Wellbeing; career, emotional, social, financial and physical. It then provides you with guided programmes and top tips to improve your wellbeing.

Charitable Giving
Through a Charitable Giving scheme the Council offers staff the option of donating to charity in a simple and tax-efficient way.
You can choose to pay a regular amount every month to the charity or charities of your choice.
This sum will be deducted from your gross (i.e. pre-tax) salary. For basic-rate taxpayers, this means every £10 you donate will reduce your take home pay by just £8.00. The difference is even greater for higher-rate taxpayers. To start the process, please visit:
