Introduction

During 2023 we continued to offer a Community Development presence in six of our most vulnerable neighbourhoods – Merstham, Redhill West, Horley, Preston, Woodhatch and Whitebushes. Our focus, as always, has been on supporting residents and partners to develop projects, events and services that meet local needs. We continue to host regular partnership meetings with 600 invitees from statutory and voluntary organisations and active local citizens. During 2023 we have been looking at how our meetings will fit in a landscape of growing interest from partners in developing their own ways of engaging local people (for instance the new Neighbourhood Meetings health are starting to explore).
