Our team of volunteers make sure the community centres can provide a warm welcome to everyone.
Current opportunities
We're always looking for new volunteers in all our centres. Whether you want to help out with activities for children, share your passion with others, or help out in the snack bar or on reception, it's a great way to meet others and give back to your local community.
We are also recruiting to these specific roles, which you can learn about on the Voluntary Action Surrey East (VASE) website.
Current Volunteer Positions
Volunteer Position: Café Waitress Volunteer (Banstead Community Centre)
- Description of role: Warm friendly person required to serve a variety of snacks and refreshments in our café to members of the public. No experience needed.
- Slots available Monday to Friday 9:30am to 1pm, 11:30am to 3pm or 1pm to 3:30pm
Volunteer Position: Stay and Play Volunteer (Woodhatch Community Centre)
- Description of role: Friendly, adaptable person to assist setting up equipment for the session, play activities, assist with clearing up at the end of the session.
- Monday - 9am to 12pm
- Wednesday - 9am to 12pm
Bank Volunteer Position: Snack Bar (Woodhatch Community Centre)
- Description of role: As a volunteer in our snack bar, you’ll be helping to create a friendly and inclusive space for everyone. Your role involves serving drinks and light snacks, keeping the café area clean and tidy, and chatting with visitors to make them feel at home. Whether it’s making a cup of tea, wiping down tables, or offering a listening ear, your contribution helps bring people together and build a stronger, more connected community. No previous experience needed.
Bank Volunteer Position: Reception (Woodhatch Community Centre)
- Description of role: Volunteers will be responsible for handling the till and receiving payments. Whilst also answering the telephone and deal with registering all those who wish to have lunch and those who have travelled to the centre. You will be trained to carry out both tasks. No previous experience needed.
