Community Asset Transfer and Support Programme

Applications are open for grants of between £3,000 and £20,000 for physical improvements to eligible community assets in Reigate & Banstead.

The deadline for Expressions of Interest is 5pm on 2 November 2026.

This grant programme uses a one-stage Expression of Interest process. Applicants should ensure they have all relevant information and supporting documents available before starting their application.

Before you apply 

Before starting your application, please:

• Read the Community Asset Support Scheme Grants 2026/27 Guidance.
• Review the draft Grant Funding Agreement.
• Gather the quotations and supporting information required for your application.
• Create or sign in to a My Reigate & Banstead account if you wish to save your application and return to it later.

You will need

The expression of interest application form will ask for:

• organisation and contact details
• information about the community asset
• details of the proposed project
• ownership or lease information
• quotations for proposed works, goods or services
• information about any permissions, licences or approvals needed for the project
• supporting documents and evidence as set out in the Guidance

What happens next?

• Applications will be reviewed against the published eligibility requirements and assessment criteria set out in the Guidance.
• Relevant Ward Members will be invited to comment on applications relating to assets within their wards.
• Recommendations will then be considered by the Assessment Panel.
• Applications will be assessed during November 2026, with decisions expected in December 2026.

Any grant award remains subject to:

• due diligence
• receipt of the required documentation
• any necessary subsidy control review
• entry into a Grant Funding Agreement

Projects must be completed and grant funding spent in full by 31 March 2027.
