Postal and Proxy voting

You do not have to vote in person at the polling station or be in the area on polling day. It is possible to vote by post or to nominate someone to vote on your behalf. You can find out more about postal and proxy voting on How do I vote? (About My Vote) .

Local Council Elections 2 May 2019

For the Local Council Elections on 2 May 2019:

  • applications to vote by post or to change/cancel an existing postal or proxy vote must be received by 5pm Monday 15 April 2019.
  • new applications to vote by proxy must be received by 5pm Wednesday 24 April 2019.
