Mayor's Upcoming Civic and Fundraising Events:

Sunday 9 November and Tuesday 11 November 2025 – Remembrance Events

Remembrance Sunday, which falls on Sunday 9 November 2025, is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those who have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.

We remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those who have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.

Armistice Day on Tuesday 11 November 2025 commemorates the signing of the Armistice which brought an end to the First World War and remembers all those who gave their lives in service to their country since 1914.

The Remembrance Sunday Civic events being held in the borough are at:

  • Shaw's Corner War Memorial, Redhill
  • Banstead War Memorial
  • Horley War Memorial gardens

On the evening of Sunday 9 November the Town Hall will be lit up to commemorate Remembrance Day and Armistice Day.

Further information will be added to this page as details of parade timings and the orders of service are finalised.

The Town Hall in Reigate will open its doors to the public for pre-booked tours in September 2026 for Heritage Open Day.

For one day only, come and take a free look behind the scenes at the Town Hall and discover its fascinating 125-year history as home to many of the community’s public services.

The Grade II Listed building, completed in 1901, originally housed the Town Hall, law courts, police, and fire stations - the 70-foot former fire station tower still forms the principal exterior feature of the building today.

All tours will be guided. There is an online booking facility for these tours. Tours are free but booking is essential.
