2. Banstead and The Villages Council

The recommendations for the north of the borough are to:

  • Create a single parish of Banstead and The Villages made up of nine wards (based on current electoral divisions) and covering an electorate of 40,229 people.
  • Name this new parish, which would cover most of the north of the borough, Banstead and The Villages Council.

The recommendation for this parish does not include Merstham. We received feedback that this area aligns more closely with Redhill so it is included in the recommendations for Redhill and Reigate.
