Armistice Day Tuesday 11 November
Armistice Day commemorates the signing of the Armistice which brought an end to the First World War and remembers all those who gave their lives in service to their country since 1914.
There are various services happening in the borough, attended by a representative from the council who will be laying a wreath on behalf of the borough.
- The Mayor will be in attendance at the Poppy Drop and Service at the Belfry Centre
- The Deputy Mayor will be in attendance at Surrey County Council, Woodhatch
- The Armed Forces Champion of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council will be in attendance at the Horley Town Shopping Precinct
- The Leader of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council will be in attendance at Redhill Royal Alexandra and Albert School, Gatton Park
- Councillor King will be in attendance at the War Memorial, Banstead followed by a brief service at Tattenham and Preston and will be laying a wreath on behalf of the borough
- The Chief Executive of Reigate and Banstead Borough Council will be in attendance at the Town Hall
