From 6 April 2017 the below types of applications require Home Office (Immigration Enforcement) Notification by virtue of the Immigration Act 2016:

Premises licences for the sale of alcohol or late night refreshment:

  • all applications for premises licences for the sale of alcohol and/or late night refreshment;
  • all applications to transfer the above;
  • all applications to vary a premises licence;
  • applications for minor variations considered by the licensing authority to require consultation with Home Office (Immigration Enforcement); and
  • all interim authority notices.


Personal licences for the sale of alcohol:

  • all personal licence applications which include a declaration of an unspent conviction for relevant offence or a foreign offence, as set out in Schedule 4 of the 2003 Act and all personal licence applications which declare a civil immigration penalty.
