Have you heard? Redhill will be making some noise this year for Arts Takeover 2026. As Redhill’s live music scene continues to grow, so too does the musical offering for the festival.
Music in the Town this year will feature two live music stages with bands performing on the opening and closing Saturdays of the festival. We're also excited to be working with Front Room Songs, who are presenting a programme of unique gigs and events.
Redstart CommunityStage, Saturday 5 September, 11am to 6pm, High Street (by Posadero Lounge), Redhill
Free live music throughout the day curated by Redstart Community CIO, who have kickstarted the local music scene. With an outdoor BBQ and pop-up bar from Posadero Lounge.
An incredible mix of local talent and legendary musicians for a day of live music in the heart of the town:
- 11am to 1pm: Redstart Community Showcase - five of the best solo and duo talent from an open mic callout (see below)
- 1.30 to 2.15pm: Billie Fox Band - an alternative pop/rock band from Surrey
- 2.30 to 3.15pm: Tim Hain With Jamside Up - Tim writes his own material and has played guitar with the best on both sides of the Atlantic, including Tyrone Taylor, Winston Reedy, Zakiya Hooker, Carroll Thompson; and he's even jammed with Jeff Beck
- 4 to 4.45pm: The Potato 5 - bona fide UK ska legends
- 5 to 5.45pm: The Deltones - the legendary all female ska/bluebeat outfit are back!

If you're a solo artist or a duo, with three songs to share, you can apply to play by 31 August.
Front Room Songs presents ...... 6, 9 and 11 September
Three intimate performances, plus delicious food, will be a musical treat for all the senses. Numbers are necessarily limited so early booking is advised.
Good food and music combine in these unique and intimate gigs in a Redhill front room (details available on booking), 7 to 10.30pm

- Danny Griffiths, Sunday 6 September: singer/songwriter
- Dave Rowntree, Wednesday 9 September: the musician, composer and Blur drummer, presents a one man show that delivers a unique insight into how one of Britain's biggest bands started out. will be talking about his recently released book, No One You Know. The show will be an intimate evening of stories, photographs and memories from the formative years of Blur - covered in his recently released book, No One You Know.
- ROZSA, Friday 11 September: a genre-blurring artist weaving hypnotic hip-hop, neo-soul, and jazz with a signature twist: live electric harp.

Mini Folk, Saturday 12 September, 2 to 4pm at St Matthew's Church, Redhill
Join Mini Folk, in partnership with Front Room Songs, for a joyful afternoon of live music, creativity and community as part of Redhill Arts Takeover. Bringing together some of London's finest global folk musicians, this special edition celebrates musical traditions from around the world in a relaxed, family friendly setting.
Redstart Unleashed, Saturday 12 September, 7.30 to 10.30pm at Unit 45, The Belfry, Redhill
Get ready for some serious hard rock, punk and metal with distortion on full. Redstart's own young volunteers take over the stage in an electrifying start for Redstart Community CIO's brand-new home at Unit 45. And it's completely free!
- Echo Echo: an upcoming powerhouse of young performance, this teen band fuses gritty tones and huge scrapes with their raw drums and vocals, creating an unforgettale presence.
- Godsplit: this band invades the stage with a mix of crust punk and sludge metal.
- Malice: witnesses claim the group were seen brandishing instruments that one could only assume will be used for the purposes of heavy metal.
All ages welcome to this free event. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult. There will be a bar available to over 18s only - please bring ID
