If you are standing for election as a County Councillor, you should read the guidance for candidates and agents published by the Electoral Commission.

The deadline for formal hand-delivery of nomination papers to stand as a candidate in the County Council by-election is 4pm on Wednesday 2 April 2025, however it is strongly recommended that:
- Informal checking: draft nomination papers and election addresses are submitted via email to elreg@reigate-banstead.gov.uk for informal checking before formally delivering your nomination papers; and,
- Formal hand-delivery: appointments for formal hand-delivery (only) of nomination papers are booked with the Returning Officer via email to elreg@reigate-banstead.gov.uk between 10am - 4pm on working days between 26 March and 2 April 2025.
