8. Recruitment and employment privacy notice
In submitting an application, you agree to the Council collecting, storing and using your personal and sensitive data (special category data) and any other information obtained in relation to it, including that from online screening questions, testing and interviews in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. The equality data that you have provided will be used for monitoring only.
This data will be used by Reigate & Banstead Borough Council to process your application and will also be used for any future applications you may make. If your application is successful, the data will be used to form your electronic employee record. If you are not successful, we will retain your data for six months to support administration of any appeals or enquiries relating to your application.
We will treat your personal and sensitive data in a fair and lawful manner. In order to meet our data protection and GDPR obligations, we are committed to being transparent with you about how we collect, store and use your data.
