We can collect most household items such as washing machines, sofas and beds. All items must be placed outside your property by 6am on the morning of your collection. We are unable to carry any item up or down stairs.

Fridges and freezers - temporary suspension

We have suspended fridge and freezer collections due to a national shortage of capacity to treat and recycle fridges and freezers. Suez, which operates waste disposal sites on behalf of Surrey county Council has temporarily restricted the delivery of fridges and freezers from all Surrey’s district and borough councils.

Current fridge and freezer disposal advice:

  • If you’re buying a new fridge or freezer, many retailers offer a takeback service and will remove your existing item at the same time as delivering your new one.
  • You can still take fridges and freezers to any of Surrey’s community recycling centres

If you cannot do any of the above, please store your fridge or freezer safely at home until service resumes.

Items that can be collected

Most large household items eg washing machines, wardrobes, tables, sofas, mirrors (wrapped to protect the glass), beds and mattresses (wrapped in plastic). Our online form will allow you to search for items that we can collect.

No amendments or refunds can be made after the order is placed.

  • Garden waste - trees, bushes etc (Garden waste collection service available)
  • Garden chemicals
  • Gas bottles
  • Pianos

Collection day

We can collect your items on set days of the week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. Fridges and freezers are collected on Wednesdays. Please see the online booking form for availability.

Cost

Minimum charge of £45 applies and all charges are non-refundable.
