The electoral register lists the names and addresses of everyone who is registered to vote in public elections. The register is used for electoral purposes, such as making sure only eligible people can vote, political parties are also entitled to a copy of the register by law and may use it to plan their election campaigns. The register is used for other limited purposes specified in law such as detecting crime (e.g. fraud), calling people for jury service and checking credit applications.
The electoral register of electors is available to view by appointment only and under supervision at the Town Hall, Castlefield Road, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 0SH. No copying of this register is allowed and the information it contains cannot be used for marketing purposes. The Open Register
If you would like to request that your details are not included in the Open Register, please email your opt-out request and your name and address to firstname.lastname@example.org. Each elector must contact us individually - you cannot, by law, make the choice for any other elector, even if they live with you.
The Open Register is an extract of the Electoral Register, but is not used for elections. It can be bought by any person, company or organisation. For example, it is used by businesses and charities to confirm name and address details. Your name and address will be included in the Open Register unless you ask for them to be removed. Each elector must make a choice to opt-out individually.
Removing your details from the Open Register does not affect your right to vote.
