Recycling sites closing

Our recycling sites will close on Monday 20 April 2026. Only the textile and shoe banks will stay open.

These sites were originally set up for residents who didn’t have access to full recycling collections. Now that all homes can recycle the same materials from their household bins, the Council’s Executive agreed in December 2024 to close the remaining sites. If you have extra recycling, you can use Surrey County Council’s Community Recycling Centres. The nearest is Earlswood.

Recycle responsibly

Click on an area page above to find a recycling site near you. Check the What to put in each recycle bin page to make sure your item can be recycled at one of these sites. 

At our recycle sites please remember:

• Leaving non recyclable materials at our recycling sites is fly tipping.
• Not all sites can recycle all materials, so please check what each centre can recycle before planning your trip.
• Please do not place your recycling in plastic bags or any other container, please place items clean and loose in the bins. Plastic bags are unacceptable and cause problems for our facilities where the material is recycled.
• To report any damage or overflowing at one of our recycling sites use the report it - recycling centre online form.

Residents can also recycle at one of Surrey County Council's community recycling centres.
