1. Support from the Council

If you are struggling financially and need support, we can help you in a number of ways.

Money support service

We offer free and confidential budgeting and money advice, tailored to you through our Money support service.  We can create a plan to help you budget and become more confident at managing your money.

Community development

We help people to access support in their local community, such as food clubs. Our community development workers are based in Merstham, Horley, Redhill and Preston.

Council tax and housing benefit

Contact us for advice if you’re struggling to pay your rent or council tax.

Family support

We may be able to support you if you are struggling to manage. We’ll help you to build on your strengths and overcome some of the challenges you are experiencing.

Household support fund

We have been allocated £382k of additional funding to continue to support our most vulnerable households over the winter months. This is part of Surrey County Council’s share of the Government’s new Household Support Grant. The grant will help people with the cost of food, energy, water and other essentials, and can also be used to support with housing costs in exceptional circumstances.

We may be able to support you if you have housing issues, are at risk of homelessness or are already homeless.

Our Wellbeing Advisors can provide expert advice to improve your health and wellbeing. You can also sign the kids up for one of our R&Be Active fun and healthy activities.
