Our Strategy

Reigate & Banstead 2025, the Council's corporate plan for the period 2020 to 2025, includes an objective to reduce the Council's own environmental impact, support local residents and businesses to do the same, and to make sure our activities increase the borough's resilience to the effects of climate change.

To help achieve this objective, the Council's Executive agreed a new Environmental Sustainability Strategy and Action Plan in July 2020.

We will report annually about our progress in delivering the Strategy.

The Council is also working closely with partners, such as Surrey County Council and the Surrey Environment Partnership to deliver positive change in the county.

Submit your views

The Surrey Greener Futures project (see link below) provides residents with the opportunity to submit views and ideas about actions and projects to reduce Surrey's carbon footprint.

You can also fiind out more about your own carbon impact, and how you can reduce it, from the Surrey County Council website.
