Free access to our architectural wonders
Free access to architectural and cultural wonders in the Borough is being offered to members of the public this September.
Heritage Open Days will be taking place across the Borough between Thursday 11 September and Sunday 14 September.

Town Hall
Reigate & Banstead’s Town Hall will be open on Saturday 13, from 10am - 1pm, giving local residents an opportunity to visit the heart of Local Government.
The Old and New Council Chambers, Committee Rooms and Mayor’s Parlour will be open for the public to explore.
These rooms have been refurbished in recent years, their original features restored and preserved and the rooms redecorated to complement the Arts and Craft style of the building.
The Town Hall’s original insurance deed, builders contract and specification from Macintosh & Newman, the building’s architects, have been uncovered and will be on display during the building’s opening.
The Heritage Open Days are a collaboration between the Borough Council, the Civic Trust in partnership with English Heritage and owners of various properties, local historians and amenity societies.
Various activities will take place in and around the venues, including guided tours, talks and exhibitions.

Cllr Adam De Save, Executive Member for Leisure and Wellbeing, said: “The Heritage Open Days are a great opportunity for people to explore their local heritage.
"Our Borough has many hidden treasures such as Barons Cave in Reigate and the Banstead Woods, these and more will be free for the public to visit during the Open Days.”
In total, twenty-three venues, including four not previously opened, will be open to the public during the Open Days.
