Updated Community Plan published
A new plan to promote the economic, social and environmental well-being of residents and people who work in the Borough has been released.
Produced by the Reigate & Banstead Local Strategic Partnership, the Community Plan sets out the community’s vision and aims for the next 12 years.

It contains a summary of needs and priorities for the future with clear targets and actions so that progress can be monitored.
Aligned services
The Community Plan is designed to help organisations align their services. Common goals are identified, agreed and outcomes described so that groups can work together to make change.
The Plan sets priorities for the environment, tackling issues such as green spaces, travel and sustainable lifestyles.
Neighbourhoods and housing also feature within the Community plan, with targets set to maintain and improve conditions of homes and increase the number and range of affordable housing.
Ensuring that services and facilities respond to the needs of residents is also highlighted as a priority within the plan.
Far reaching document
Cllr Allen Kay, Executive Member for Partnership, said: “The Community Plan is far reaching covering the environment, neighbourhoods, communities, and services & facilities.
“The plan has been developed by Reigate & Banstead Local Strategic Partnership, which primarily consists of the Borough Council, Surrey County Council, the police and health services, as well as various community groups.
"We have worked together to produce a plan that helps improve the coordination of services that affect resident’s daily lives and to ensure they meet the needs and aspirations of our communities.”
