The Horley Regeneration Forum is a partnership between public and private sector organisations and community representatives with an interest Horley’s future. The group will contribute to the area’s development and improve the quality of life for residents by ensuring that key projects are progressing such as the new leisure centre and development schemes for various town centre sites.

Cllr Dr Daniel Poulter, Executive Member for Regeneration and Transport for Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, said: “Regenerating Horley and creating two new neighbourhoods in the north of the town is an ambitious task. The plans we have long discussed and consulted on are becoming a reality. It is vital that all interested parties are fully aware of, and involved in, delivering the ambitions for the regeneration of Horley, and we were delighted that so many partners were able to attend this first meeting."

The Horley Regeneration Forum will meet quarterly to discuss the implementation of the two new neighbourhoods to the north east and north west of Horley and the regeneration of Horley Town Centre.

Cllr Peter Martin, Executive Member for Environment from Surrey County Council, said: "Surrey County Council have been committed to regeneration proposals for Horley for many years. We have already invested in the new Fastway service and £1,000,000 is currently being spent to improve Horley station. We are delighted to be a part of the Regeneration Forum."

The group is made up of representatives from Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, Surrey County Council, Horley Town Council, Salford and Sidlow Parish Council, Horley Town Centre Management Forum, Horley Chamber of Commerce, North East and North West Sector consortium representatives, Surrey Police, Education representatives, the Primary Care Trust, Oakwood School, East Surrey Hospital, BAA, Council for Voluntary Services, Faith groups, Raven Housing Trust and Thames Valley Housing Association.
