Banstead countryside day offers events to entertain the whole family

News release dated 4 September 2007 about the Banstead countryside day by Banstead Woods.

Shire horseBanstead Countryside Day is being held in the fields by Banstead Woods, Holly Lane, Banstead from 10am on Sunday 9 September, with free parking and free entry.

The Banstead Countryside Day is an annual event held in one of RBBC's valued open spaces. It is jointly organised by the Downlands Countryside Management Project and the Council to promote the local countryside and the conservation work which is being undertaken in the local area.

For more information on this event contact Reigate & Banstead Borough Council Parks & Countryside Manager, Robin Davis. Or just come along to Banstead Woods on Sunday and enjoy the day.  There will be many stalls, displays and events including: Rural Crafts, Heavy Horses, Traditional Dancing, Guided Walks, Local History, Children's Nature Trail, and much more.
