Street Naming and Numbering

Street naming and numbering

This section provides key information about how streets are named, properties numbered and how to change or add a name to an existing property.

The correct addressing of a property is a very important issue. Increasing numbers of organisations, not least the emergency services and the Post Office need an efficient means of locating and referring to specific properties.

Reigate & Banstead Borough Council is the street naming and numbering authority for the Borough. The NLPG Technician provides the main point of contact for addressing issues such as naming streets, numbering new properties and changing an existing name or adding a name to your address.
