Buses4U
This page contains details of the Buses4U Reigate and Banstead service that replaces the Dial-a-Ride bus service.
Buses 4U Reigate and Banstead (formerly Dial-a-Ride) is run on what is known as a ‘demand responsive’ basis. That is, it has no fixed route and no timetable but runs to the demand of passengers who have made a booking. It can pick you up from outside your door and take you to your destination.
The service can be used for a variety of trips and appointments such as shopping, hairdresser, chiropodists, hospital, dentists or to visit a friend. The service is available Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700 (except Bank Holidays).
The service is open to anyone who is a resident in Reigate & Banstead Borough, who does not live near or cannot use existing public transport due to a variety of reasons. To become a member, please ring 01883 732 791 and request an application form; also available in Council Help Shops and Community Centres.
Bookings can be made by telephoning 01730 815 518 between 08:00-17:00 Monday to Saturday (closed 12:00-13:00) Saturday. Bookings can be made up to seven days in advance and are taken on a first come first served basis.
Areas of service:
Zone A includes Banstead, Woodmansterne, Nork, Burgh Heath, Chipstead, Tadworth, Kingswood, Hooley, Walton on the Hill and Lower Kingswood.
Zone B includes Merstham, Redhill, Reigate, Earlswood, Doversgreen, Salfords and Horley.
Zone C includes Ashtead, Epsom, Ewell, Cheam, Sutton, Purley, Coulsdon.
Zone D includes Buckland, Betchworth, Brockham, Charlwood, Gatwick, Smallfield, South Nutfield, Nutfield, Bletchingley and Godstone.
Fares:
Travel within zones A or B is £1.90 single and £3.40 return.
Travel from zone A into zone B or C is £2.80 single and £5.50 return.
Travel from zone B into zone A or D is £2.80 single and £5.50 return.
