The Wey was one of the first British rivers to be made navigable and opened to barge traffic more than 350 years ago.
The waterway linked Guildford to Weybridge on the Thames and then on to London.
A restored barge called the Reliance is moored at the Wharf and takes visitors on regular river trips.
