This section provides information For adventurous types about Mountainboarding in Nutfield.

The course at Priory Farm boasts the world's first mountainboard half pipe and offers several outstanding runs.

For adventurous types, Priory Farm near Redhill offers the opportunity to try the new action sport of mountain boarding.

The attraction caters for all boarders from gentle slopes ofr complete beginners to challenging rides for the most experienced.

There is a drag lift to take you back to the top of the slopes. All the equipment you need is available for hire or sale, and there is tuition at all levels.

Beginner sessions include safety briefings and an introduction to the equipment including padding up.

The centre also offers lessons in the basic techniques and some low level test runs building up through the sessions to some of the larger slopes and jumps.

About mountain boarding

Mountain boarding, also known as All-Terrain Boarding or Off Road Boarding is one of the fastest growing actions sports worldwide.

Often described as a combination of snowboarding, skateboarding and mountain biking, the sport is widely participated in, visually stunning and definitely extreme.

The top riders are pushing the limits of the sport further and further each year with aerial maneuvers and multiple spinning freestyle tricks, all while riding over dirt, grass and other surfaces. 

Tracing its roots to the 1970’s the sport is actively participated in by over 1 million athletes worldwide (Wall Street Journal, April 16th 1998) with an estimated 6000+ participants in the UK.
