Sports festival 2008
This page is about the Sports festival that took place in Priory Park on 4 May 2008.
Following the success of last year’s event we again teamed up with the YMCA for an even bigger and better Sports festival on Sunday 4 May 2008.
Priory Park was full of the usual attractions including a bouncy castle and climbing wall and too many sports clubs to mention.
New experiences
The sports festival gave people a chance to come along to the park, meet the local sports clubs, have a go at a variety of sports, from cycling to tai kwon do and everything in between.
The festival was completely free and everyone was welcome. The date for 2009 is set for Sunday 3 May when we hope to bring an even bigger Sports Festival for all to enjoy.
YMCA Fun Run
At the same time thousands of competitors took part in the YMCA’s Fun Run. The race started and finished in the park and included a five mile route around Reigate and a one mile fun around the park for 5-15 year olds.
All finishers received a medal and a well-earned commemorative T-shirt.
