Softball league

Softball is a bit like baseball but with a smaller, 'not soft' ball and an underarm pitch.
The local Softball league is a recreational league (comp. C) made up of 6 teams who play locally.
Each team is mixed (5 males and 5 females) and ages range from 17-60.
League games are played on Thursday nights and occasionally tournaments are played at the weekends in various places around the country. For those who get the bug there are loads of opportunities to join more competitive teams and play many more tournaments.
There is a very social-side to the league and the usual practise after a game is to retire to a local pub for a few sociable drinks. Lots of family groups and friends play together.
