Courses for sports coaches
This section provides information about courses available for young people who would like to get involved in coaching.
The Surrey Young Coaches and Officials (SYCO) 2005-06 programme has been a success with young people from many different schools, colleges and universites achieving coaching and officiating awards in 8 sports and attending various training days.
It is organised by Active Surrey, a partnership which includes the Borough Council, Surrey County Council, Sport England and other organisations.
What is SYCO?
If you are aged 14-19 and MAD for sport, then SYCO is for you!
Offering you, qualifications, skills, citizenship, friendship, leadership, certification, employment, FUN... the SYCO Programme is a fantastic opportunity to get and stay involved in Surrey sport.
