Short Mat Bowls
This section provides information about playing short mat bowls at the Woodhatch Centre.
The efforts of the centre fundraising events were rewarded with the purchase of short mat bowls equipment in early May 2000.
Since then, members have been meeting regularly Thursday and Friday mornings at 9.30am.
We have been fortunate in securing voluntary help from bowlers from local clubs to help with learning how to play and understanding the rules.
Once we become more proficient at the game we will look at the possibility of playing inter club or league matches.
Never played before? Don't let that stop you, neither had most of us! Come along and join in, you may even surprise yourself!
