This section provides links with information and help about cycling in Reigate and Banstead.
From the woods in the north to the Weald in the south, and boasting hundreds of acres of rolling countryside, the Borough offers a wonderful backdrop for cyclists to enjoy.
So whether you are cycling to work, to the shops, to school, or purely for pleasure, swapping four wheels for two has a multitude of benefits in Reigate and Banstead.
A cycling map of the Borough is being worked on.
In the meantime cyclists can take advantage of the National Cycle Network, a network of 10,000 miles of traffic reduced and minor roads which are ideal for the cyclist, and runs through our Borough.
The Council has also been active in increasing safe cycling routes around the Borough as part of our Safe Routes To Schools programmes, including provision of marked cycle ways and toucan crossings for cyclists to cross busy roads.
It is easy to arrange family cycling lessons so you can ride with your children. After that you can take advantage of a host of great cycling events arranged through the year by Reigate and Banstead Cycle Forum, such as the ride pictured above.
Alternatively, just take to the open road and explore the Borough's highways and byways for yourself.
Cycling is the healthy alternative to the car, for you and the Borough as a whole, so why not give it a try?
