Surrey Chlamydia Screening Programme

Chlamydia is a bacterial sexually transmitted disease. 1 in 10 young people have Chlamydia and often there are no symptoms. If left untreated Chlamydia can lead to ectopic pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility in both men and women.
As part of a National Screening Programme, SCSP offers a FREE, confidential, self-taken test for those aged 16-24 years.
This service is being taken to the young people who need it by offering a variety of settings and services that they may engage with.
Surrey Chlamydia Screening Programme is part of a National Programme run by the Department of Health and the Health Protection Agency.
