Information about bins for commercial waste.
The Council can provide a number of bins in various sizes for commercial waste collection.
Commercial business rates do not include the disposal of trade/commercial rubbish.
The trader must arrange waste removal through a private waste contractor or the local authority.
It is the responsibility of trader to get rid of their waste, in accordance with the Duty of Care section of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 legislation. The business must, as a matter of record, keep a copy of the paperwork for two years and have it available for inspection if requested.

The Council operates a commercial waste collection service.

These maybe some types of business that maybe applicable for reduced charges.
Various private contractors can also offer a commercial waste collection service and contact numbers can be found in yellow pages under Waste Disposal or on the internet.
Before entering into a contract for the collection of commercial waste, businesses have a duty to make sure that the contractor is registered as a ‘waste carrier’ by the Environment Agency and are fully compliant under the Duty of Care section of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 legislation.
